Gali is a Toa of Water and a member of the Toa Mata. She is also a starter character in the game. Gali will be made available in the second Demo release.
Bio:
In The Cracked Vahi, Gali is pulled from a time shortly after the Toa's initial adventures on the Island of Mata Nui into an amalgamated dimension formed by a cracked Vahi leaking Time energy.
In Level 6: The Laboratory, Gali breaks into a massive Laboratory from the sea. After some time, she finds Tahu captured and used as a living furnace for the entire structure, and frees him. Gali, however, soon finds that Tahu has memories of years beyond her, and he is surprised she does not "remember" the adventures he does. (This is because Tahu was taken from a time shortly after the Melding of Spherus Magna.) Regardless, Gali and Tahu head out to recover his sword, which they do. They also come upon an experiment involving two Skakdi and the Spear of Fusion, which creates the Piraka Fusion. Gali and Tahu battle it, and Tahu ultimately kills it, to Gali's horror. Tahu notices security camera feed detailing Golden Armor, which he says will enable him to destroy all of Makuta's Rahkshi. Gali and Tahu head out to find it.
Along their way, in Level_10:_The_Laboratory, Gali and Tahu come upon a room with several vats of antidermis, presumably belonging to Makuta. Tahu is ready to destroy them, but Brutaka appears, bloodthirsty due to his exposure to antidermis. Gali and Tahu fight him, and Tahu leaves him alive. After destroying the antidermis vats, they proceed on their way to the Golden Armor. Gali and Tahu are set upon by a large horde of enemies, but defeat them all.
Gali and Tahu do not reappear until Level 26: Collection Hall, in which they come upon assembly lines creating thousands of Bohrok, Baterra, and even Slizers. One Slizer, Ski, notices and attacks them. Tahu, surprisingly, comes up with a peaceful way to stop the attacking, and downloads an information clip on the Makuta's evil into Ski's cognitive functions. Ski realizes the evils of Makuta, and joins with the Toa. Gali, Tahu, and Ski make their way to the central control room of the Laboratory, where they battle many enemies before gaining entrance to the Collection Hall. Here, the voice of Makuta taunts them while they endeavor to find Tahu's Golden Armor. They do, but next to it is the dead body of Tahu, and Makuta tells Tahu of his inevitable death, offering him the chance to join him. Tahu pretends to join him, and is ordered to dispatch Gali and Ski. Gali and Ski battle Tahu, but he only knocks them out. Gali reawakens to find Makuta confronting Tahu, having seen through his deception. Ski and Gali aid Tahu, and manage to destroy Makuta - who is only a false duplicate of the true Makuta.
Gali and company navigate the maze-like Collection Hall, trying to find and locate the real Makuta. In Level 28: Collection Hall, they are joined by all the other heroes thus far introduced. Ski and the other heroes confront the master of the Laboratory, who is revealed to actually be Vezon, with the Kanohi Ignika wired into his body. Vezon uses the Ignika and the Spear of Fusion to sever the heroes' minds and souls from their bodies, turning them into a mindless army.
In Level 29: Collection Hall, Gali and the other heroes are freed by Ski and Jimi Stringer, and debate whether or not to destroy the laboratory. Vezon, returning to the light side, pulls up a program to shut down all of Makuta's experiments, but is then killed by Makuta himself. Makuta and his lieutenants, Tuma and Roodaka, confront the heroes, but Mata Nui appears from the Ignika and keeps them away. Talos reveals that the universe is collapsing, and the heroes and villains alike head for the massive wormhole device Makuta intended to use for evacuating his army when the world imploded. After a confrontation with the Ultimate Makuta, the heroes get the wormhole device working. Gali enters the void of space-time and returns to her own universe.
